- Why does my scanned PDF convert to an empty document?
- A scan is a picture of text, not text, and there is no OCR here. Convert it to images instead. The page tells you when it finds nothing to extract rather than handing you a blank file.
- How faithful is the Word conversion?
- It recovers headings, paragraphs and lists as flowing, editable text. It does not reproduce the layout. Columns, tables and exact positioning are lost, because that is what converting a fixed page to a flowing document means. If you need the layout, convert to images.
- Do my files get uploaded anywhere?
- No. Every tool here runs inside your browser tab, on your own machine. The page also ships a Content-Security-Policy that blocks outbound requests entirely, so uploading is not something the app declines to do. It is something it cannot do.
